Yes a special post for me from your fav Barrow poster! Ive seen Vickerstown play and you are quite right about the T the T reference. Still, they live in Barrow's shadow a bit - the mighty Barrow FC that is. (FootballCynic writes: Ah, but are Barrow again good at cricket?)

A year or two ago we had trouble with the drains at Knobhead Hall. A local man called Harry came round to deal with the matter. He was a cheery sort of chap and made Lady Knobhead laugh with his little quips about everything from politics to religion. He even knew some good Englishman, Irishman, Scotsman jokes. When the work was completed, it came to £300 - very reasonable in this day and age. However he offered us a cash discount of £200 or £189 if we placed the money in an account in, so he said, his wife's name, Rosie. Duly we obliged and paid £189. Lady Knobhead is worried that this Happy Harry character will apppear in court and name us. What do you think, Mr Cynic? (FootballCynic writes: Goodness me, FootballCynic has never heard of tradesman offering better prices when you pay cash. Is this what happens in Knebworth? So, tell us one of Harry's Englishman, Irishman jokes.)

I have found this blog handy for my day-to-day life. It is especially engaging and intriguing. Moreover, did anyone view the Aussie Open ladies final today? That has been rather a superior match. Maria Sharapova got her butt knocked by a girl out of Belarus who will be the world number 1 right after the victory. That is definitely something. The next day is gonna be a fantastic day for tennis. Hence whoever's serious by sure to take a look college papers for free. (FootballCynic writes: Eh?)

You've hit a raw nerve with the fellow from Berwick or so it would seem. I was discussing this very issue with Lady Knobhead as we were perusing the League 2 scores and remarking on Swindon's 1-0 win during toast and marmalade this morning. Lady Knobhead was born on the borders of Chalfont St Giles and Chalfont St Peter and it had some funny effects. Although her address was Chalfont St Giles, she always said she was nearer Chalfont St Peter. Yet, if people mistakenly referred to her as living in Chalfont St Peter, she would quickly correct them, acting somewhat offended, and say she was a 'Giles'. So, you should be more sympathetic with these poor confused souls who don't know whether they are in Scotland or England. It must be hell for them. I just feel sorry for those who have to listen to Salmond's irritating voice. If there is a king of know-it-alls, Salmond is the man. At least, that's what Lady Knobhead says and she is always right. (FootballCynic writes: So, what did Lady Knobhead make of Swindon's 1-0 win then?)
