Farewell Message
In a division containing four “Welfare” teams, Brodsworth Miners Welfare are, well, faring worse than the other “Welfare” teams – in fact, worse than every team in the North East Counties Premier. After 12 games, they are anchored at the bottom with no points having scored 4 goals and conceded 61. Frustratingly, they have suffered three 1-0 defeats, one of which was against league leaders, Scarborough Athletic. However, in their 12 league games they have scored every number of goals between 1 and 10 except for 3. The 40-50 fans who pack the terraces of their 3000 capacity ground near Doncaster must be disheartened when the league table on their website is abandoned after one game, recording a 9-1 defeat to Hallam and nothing more. Brodsworth Miners Welfare’s most famous son is Lee Snodin. Whether they get back to the glory days remains to be seen, but we will be keeping an eye on their fortunes.

Lee is cack. Ian Snodin was cack. Lee Snodin was cool. Lee is the son, but only has a fraction of dads talent. (FootballCynic writes: I don't quite follow you here, Snowed In. Are you saying that Lee was cool, but is now cack like Ian? It's bit like one of those riddles - if Lee is Ian's son and Glyn is the uncle of Ian, what relation is Gary Sprake to Glyn?)

nice one brodsworth, looks like things are lookin up, hopefully that outin can be arranged will email soon baby blue xx (FootballCynic writes: 'Nice one' might be pushing it a bit too far, but a 1-0 defeat at the hands of high-flying Selby Town doesn't seem a bad result. FootballCynic wonders whether the next visitors, Long Eaton United, are sleeping so easily)

seems that the match with Bridlington was a set back too......then the Hall Road game was different again....to be blunt and honest brodsworth players should stop hiding there talent and get them selves back on track, it can be done xx (FootballCynic writes: Fighting talk, Baby Blue. It does seem to be time for Brodsworth to move forward from their total of 2 points. Mind you, it means that the celebration will be even bigger when the win comes. Nostell Miners Welfare looks winnable this week)

will this mean relegation for brodsworth........xx (FootballCynic writes: It has to be said that, without beating about the bush, it is time to face up to the fact that relegation looks to be on the cards, in my honest opinion)

whats gone wrong.......last season they did really well....even got to the cup....what happens next ???......xx (FootballCynic writes: If offered the job, FootballCynic would consider taking over as manager. Of course, he would expect a Premiership manager salary and the full backing of the board - a transfer budget of £40 million should suffice. He will guarantee good times are around the corner for Brodsworth. Failing that, FootballCynic will make a personal inspection of Brodsworth next season)

very witty football cynic.....does this mean you have been keepin an eye on her fortunes.....???.....will look forward to speakin to you next season.....hopefully good times are roun the corner......xx (FootballCynic writes: Are you saying £40million isn't enough? Of course, FootballCynic looks at the fortunes of Brodsworth. He notes that you refer to the club as 'her fortunes'. Is this the problem at Brodsworth, do you think? Looking forward to 2010-11 - a year of success and FootballCynic's first visit to the hallowed turf of Brodsworth.)

Her fortunes will soon change then)

because my sons dad played for brodsworth.........xx (FootballCynic writes: Good to hear from Brodsworth's number one fan again. That answer should satisfy our Italian friend. Just the one point from 12 games, we see. It's time FootballCynic came to see this centre of football to inspire the lads.)
