Capital Letters

Every football fan knows that Hull City is the only league team that has no letters that you can colour in. The Statistical Centre at FootballCynic HQ this week revealed that Sturminster Newton United of the Dorset Premier League hold a different record. By scoring, 1 point for the letter 'a' in the team's name up to 26 points for the letter 'z', mid-table Sturminster Newton United can claim to have more points than any other team in the land. Their whopping tally of 340 proves that money can't everything in football, as Chelsea score the lowest of all league sides with a meagre 53. CCK of the Brighton, Hove and District League come lowest with 17 points, while the curiously named Faces FC from Essex score a mere 34. Meanwhile, Luton Town would score 154 points, but have had 100 deducted to give them 54. Below Sturminster Newton United in action.
