The big question this season is whether the naughty three can do it or not. Luton Town, Rotherham United and Bournemouth all suffered severe points deductions, which threaten them with a step down to the Blue Square world. As ever the FootballCynic Statistical Centre can bring you the latest news and inform you that all three would survive if Luton Town had gained one more point. By simply, taking the average points scored per game so far and applying that to the 46 games (still with us?), we find that the final table would be:

Morecambe - 23.0
Grimsby - 19.1
Rotherham - a whopping 67.3
Bournemouth - 32.8
Luton - 19.8

So Luton Town are one point off the pace right now to survive assuming Morecambe and Grimsby don't come to life. Below, days when Luton used to celebrate
