U turn at Premier League HQ

Football fans have been shocked by the news that Club owners must be legal, decent and honest. Richard Scudamore, the Premier League supremo told the world that checks would be made to ensure that former Thai leader Thaksin Shinawatra was a 'fit and proper' person. It would seem that Thaksin has passed the 'fit' part of the condition by flitting away from Thailand at high speed. And, it seems that he is not a robot and, therefore, qualifies as a 'proper person'. Scudamore is said to be ready to invoke the game's rules if the Manchester City supremo is found guilty of breaking any of the stringent regulations. Meanwhile, it seems that Luton Town will docked a further 13 points if Thaksin lands at Luton Airport on his return to England. Below: Scudamore allegedly looks concerned as his bank details are allegedly found to be wrong on documents in an allegedly urgent UPS delivery allegedly from Thailand.
