Anarchists against boring teams

Although FootballCynic has widely publicised plans to move to Italy, it would seem that the ruthless owners of footballcynic.com will not release me from my contract. They have offered me a mere £130,000 per week to stay here and fail to respect my real talent, even though some unkindly think my Dad had more talent in his right boot than I ever had. Of course, I carelessly posted on Facebook that I was about to leave to join Tooting & Mitcham on a free so that all those in the ‘Anarchists against boring teams’ group saw my post. Fellow anarchists are all ready to meet at Fulham’s Craven Cottage on Saturday week. Of course, it’s wet July and this is the silly month where column inches are filled with highly improbable football rumours and news about someone who is young, female, British and aware of which end of a tennis racket to hold. Let’s also not forget that column inches are being used on a British cyclist who knows how to pedal in La Belle France. Of course, The Tour de France attracts much gambling and top money is on Day 11 as the day when the first drugs scandal breaks. Back to football and it’s British players in the news – stars like Peter Crouch and Steve Sidwell are on the move. Peter Risdale is ready to throw Cup Final cash around, it would seem, at Cardiff City –FootballCynic has always wondered whether Peter really did say to Seth Johnson that he wouldn’t offer a penny more than £30,000 per week in his Leeds’ days. Seth’s agent allegedly reacted quickly and forced shrewd old Peter up to £37,000 carefully concealing the fact that he was ready to settle on £13,000. So, maybe I won’t move on. I’m treated like a lord by the backroom team at footballcynic.com where cheerful, attractive secretaries bring regular supplies of Fairtrade Coffee and we all enjoy dress down days on Friday.
