Big Four Play With Themselves

Blurt says: "I know I am prone to the odd rant, but this weekend is interesting. Whether it is the luck of the draw when the computer dished out the fixtures or a practice run for when the Big Four play with each other week, I am not sure. Of course, the FA is always coming up with bright ideas, but a Super Premiership for Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea would be a great idea. They could play each other about 14 times each season and the managers could niggle away at each other in the press every week. Then, we could get down to the serious of seeing whether Everton could win the Premiership. We might even get an English Manager winning the title, if Alan Curbishley or Kevin Keegan can get their troops at West Ham or Newcastle United to perform - but, of course, we are now disappearing into the world of complete unreality. However, it would also make more room for nice teams like West Bromwich Albion and Charlton Athletic to play in the Premiership too. I will submit my full plans to the FA. West Brom could even play Charlton in Dubai at the end of the season".
